The pain of discipline or the pain of regret? You choose.

That's a pretty straightforward question right there. What will you choose?

Will you choose the pain of regret or the pain of discipline?

You’re going to experience pain either way. The kind of pain that we choose to feel will be entirely dependent on us and the choices that we make along the way.

Let me tell you my story.

I was never that disciplined while I was growing up. I knew I had all the talent in the world, but I never used it for the world to see.

I was an introverted kid and I didn't communicate much with others.

My family was also wealthy and I reaped all the benefits.

I lived a comfortable life and that inhibited my talents to shine and the will to achieve greatness. I didn't have the drive to succeed or to conquer my goals.

The unlimited potential that I had was not being put to good use.

I was comfortable every single day and my parents were taking care of me. I had a roof over my head and I was getting all my meals consistently without having to worry about a thing.

My life was taken care of and I didn't have to struggle to earn anything.

This lifestyle would eventually lead to a period of stagnation and deep regret.

I was starting to feel unhappy and disliked the fact that I wasn't financially independent.

Deep down in my soul, I knew I wanted to stand on my own two feet, but I imprisoned myself in my comfort zone.

The pain of regret started to eat at me and it started a downward spiral of constant negativity and self-pity.

Remember the part where I told you that I wasn't that disciplined while I was growing up?

Well, that's not entirely true. How do I know this?

Because I was extremely disciplined in the area of health and fitness.

I am a fitness freak. I've been working out since 2007 and I was always consistent.

It's been 17 years since I started my fitness journey and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

Fitness has become an integral part of my life and it opened the path for me to start embracing my own confidence.

Over the years, I've built an incredible physique and I'm extremely healthy and athletic. I feel like I have unlimited amounts of energy within me.

So the discipline has always been there. I was never lacking discipline or the willingness to do hard work. It was just a matter of interest and priorities.

It was just a matter of redirecting some of that discipline into other areas of my life. That was the solution to fix all the problems that I was facing.

I knew that I wanted to start my own business, build my career, and to achieve all the goals that I had for myself.

Ultimately the pain of regret was more than the pain of staying the same.

So I forced myself to change as I had no other choice.

The pain was just too much for me to handle.

You realize your true potential when your back is against the wall.

I started putting in the work and the effort that was required to achieve greatness. It was really uncomfortable and difficult, but I had to do it.

I had to embrace it. I had to embrace the painful transformation of change.

I am extremely stubborn and I'm not going to accept defeat under any circumstances.

It was okay for me to fail and learn for my mistakes, but defeat was never an option.

I will be one of the most persistent and resilient people you will ever meet.

I was embracing the pain of discipline, because I knew that the fruits of my labour will be rewarded later on.

In life, we often want a lot of things that we desire.

We want to have a lot of money, a luxurious lifestyle, a great physique, and overall peace and satisfaction.

Alll of these should be earned. Nothing is handed to you for free. There's a lot of trials and tribulations one needs to endure before you're worthy of them.

The difficulty of enduring the journey and the person you become alone the way is what makes your worthy of the end result.

But most people want to have them easily and not put in the effort that is required.

They just want the results without the effort.

They want quick results and lack the discipline to stay consistent.

Are you ready to sacrifice a bit of sleep and leisure time to focus on your business or goals? Nope.

Are you ready to hit the gym consistently for a year? Nope.

Are you ready to sacrifice your favorite dessert and overall eating habits to develop an aesthetic physique? Nope.

Then the same people will start complaining about how life is unfair. How life isn't going their way, and how some people are just lucky.

They have completely lost sight of the picture.

Imagine if someone woke up tomorrow with an amazing physique. They open their eyes and find out that they have the dream physique they always wanted.

Okay.. so now what? They will be confused and won't have a clue about how to maintain it.

Because they have never been consistent at the gym, they have no knowledge about nutrition and they have never developed the mindset that was needed to maintain such a physique.

It's the same thing with riches.

If someone wakes up tomorrow as a millionaire, it will give them so much happiness and satisfaction.

But they don't have the skills or the knowledge on how to preserve and multiply the wealth they just acquired. They will have no idea how to take care of it.

They'll probably make stupid or bad decisions that will cost them their money.

The journey is what gives you the skills and the experience needed to take care of the result.

People should embrace the journey instead of looking at the final result.

Let me tell you something.

It's not always about luck or talent. Luck can be a factor, but it is only useful when luck meets preparation.

The 'lucky' one is often consistent and they are willing to work harder than everybody else around them.

We make our own luck.

Talent can only take you so far if you're not ready to work hard.

We need to work harder and smarter at the same time.

I knew that I wanted an amazing physique. So I decided to be consistent at the gym and endure the pain of staying disciplined.

I knew that I wanted to be rich and financially independent. So I decided to show up every day, put in the work, and endure the pain of staying disciplined.

There is no other way or shortcut to the top of the mountain. You should stop looking for one and accept reality.

Do you want to be healthy and have an amazing physique?

Endure the pain of discipline.

Do you want to make money and be your own boss?

Endure the pain of discipline.

Do you want to be someone important?

Endure the pain of discipline.

Do you want to become the greatest person in your entire bloodline?

Endure the pain of discipline.

Everything that you desire is on the other side of fear and effort.

Consistency will yield results. You should make a conscious decision to show up every day and work for your dream life.

No one else will wake up and choose to make your life better.

It is your responsibility to change your life for the better.

Endure the pain of discipline today so that you can enjoy a better tomorrow. There's no time for regrets.

I'm rooting for you and I know that you will make the right choice.
